Overview

Texas Skillet ("Texas Skillet," "we," "us," or "our") operates this website so visitors can learn about our mobile catering and event services and request a quote for their event. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the site, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.

This policy covers information collected through this website. It does not cover information you share with us by phone, email outside the site, or in person while planning or working an event, which we handle consistently with the practices described here but through different channels.

By using this site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or submit information through it.

Information We Collect

Information you provide. When you submit our contact or quote form, we collect the details you enter, which may include your name, email address, phone number, event name and type, event date(s), estimated attendance, venue or city, state, budget range, preferred contact method, and any message or details you add. We also record whether you've given consent to be contacted about your inquiry.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools automatically log standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring page, in aggregate, to help us understand site usage and keep the site secure. Our spam-prevention tool may briefly verify your device to confirm a form submission isn't automated.

What we don't collect. This site doesn't have visitor accounts or logins, and we don't process payments or store payment information through the website. Any deposits, invoices, or payments related to a booked event are handled directly and separately from the site.

How We Use Your Information

  • Respond to your inquiry, discuss availability, and coordinate an event booking once both parties agree to move forward
  • Send you a confirmation of your submission and, internally, route your inquiry to the right person at Texas Skillet
  • Detect and prevent spam, abuse, and fraudulent submissions to our contact form
  • Understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site so we can improve its content, layout, and performance
  • Comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not use the information you submit for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not use it to send unrelated marketing without your consent.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. We use a small number of vetted providers to operate the site and respond to inquiries: a hosting and performance-analytics provider to run and monitor the site, a transactional email provider to deliver inquiry confirmations and internal notifications, a database provider to securely store inquiry records, and a spam-verification provider to confirm a submission is not automated. These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Texas Skillet, our clients, or others.
  • Business transfers. If Texas Skillet is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of some or all of its assets, inquiry information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a policy at least as protective.

Cookies & Similar Technologies

This site uses limited, privacy-conscious technologies rather than traditional advertising cookies. Our site analytics and performance monitoring collect aggregated, non-identifying usage data and are not used to build advertising profiles or track you across other websites. Our spam-prevention widget may use a short-lived cookie or token solely to verify that a form submission is not automated. We do not run third-party advertising cookies, ad-tracking pixels, or retargeting scripts on this site. If that changes, we'll update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

Embedded content. Some pages display content from Google (for reviews and maps) and Meta/Instagram (for social posts). These are display-only integrations — we don't collect your personal information through them — but if you click through to Google or Instagram directly, that platform's own privacy policy applies to your interaction with it.

Data Retention

We keep inquiry and event-related information for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your request, coordinate and deliver a booked event, maintain accurate business and financial records, and meet legal, tax, or insurance obligations. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

Your Choices & Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you've submitted, or ask how it's been used, by reaching out through the Contact page. We'll respond to verified requests within a reasonable time.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws — for example, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar laws in other states — including the right to know what personal information we hold about you, request its deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As noted above, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no separate opt-out is necessary for that purpose. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

Children's Privacy

This site is intended for adults planning or inquiring about events and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information submitted through this site, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access-restricted data storage, and rate limiting and bot verification on our contact form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
