Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Commitment

Texas Skillet is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice recognition software, or keyboard-only navigation. We believe everyone should be able to learn about our services, browse our menu, and request a quote for their event without barriers, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time fix.

Conformance Status

We aim for this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more usable for everyone. Conformance with WCAG 2.2 AA is an ongoing goal: we've taken meaningful, concrete steps toward it, but we can't guarantee that every page fully conforms at all times, particularly where third-party content is embedded on the page.

What We've Built In

  • Keyboard-accessible navigation, forms, and interactive elements, with a "Skip to content" link at the top of every page
  • Visible focus indicators and semantic HTML landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer) that support screen-reader navigation
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and clearly labeled form fields with inline error messaging on our contact and quote form
  • Support for reduced-motion preferences, so animations and transitions are minimized for visitors who have that setting enabled in their operating system or browser
  • Color and contrast choices that meet WCAG AA contrast ratios and don't rely on color alone to convey information
  • A responsive layout that adapts to different screen sizes, browser zoom, and text-resize settings

Known Limitations

Some content on this site is provided by third-party services we don't fully control, including embedded Google review content and Instagram/Meta social posts. These third-party elements may not fully meet the same accessibility standards as the rest of the site. We review these integrations periodically and address issues within our control as they're identified. If you run into a barrier in one of these areas, please tell us — we'll look for a workaround or alternative way to present that information.

Compatible Technologies

This site is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, and with commonly used assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS. For the best experience, we recommend keeping your browser and assistive technology up to date.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this site. If you encounter a barrier, have difficulty using a feature, or have a suggestion for improvement, please let us know through the Contact page. It helps if you can describe the page you were on, the issue you ran into, and the browser or assistive technology you were using — that lets us find and fix the problem faster. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback promptly and to address reported issues as quickly as we reasonably can.
